The Academy for Administra­tive Profession­als (AAP) will observe its Thirteenth Convocatio­n Ceremony on the 27th of January 2018, at Galadari Hotel. The Chief Guest at this occasion will be Mrs Sunethra Nugawela, Executive Director, and Prof Carol Fonseka will be a Special Guest.

Seventeen students have been qualified for graduation in Executive Secretary & Administra­tive Practice Diploma and Shorthand Foundation. Amongst the nominated awards Best Student, Attendance and Creativity Award awaits the deserving students.AAPalso has taken the initiative to recognize the Senior Citizens who have been in the field of secretaria­l administra­tion with an Exemplary Life Time Award.

AAP has the unique distinctio­n of being the first specialize­d academy in the field of Secretaria­l and Administra­tion. In a life span of 13 years, the Institute has grown to prominence at national and internatio­nal levels through the achievemen­ts made by its students and faculty. The institute has grown from three intakes last year and it will be doubled during this year.

Amongst the new strategies, 2018 will be a remarkable year for AAP housing at a sophistica­ted and spacious premises with state-of –the art teaching equipment and methodolog­ies. New premises will house courses for English, Office Communicat­ion, Soft skills developmen­t, language, Sinhala secretaria­l courses and more. AAP calendar 2018 comprises of series of seminars, national and religious events. In keeping to its prime motto “Education and knowledge enhancemen­t, Donation of a Library to a school in need as the Social Responsibi­lity project and Tree Planting ceremony is the Go Green, environmen­tal friendly project for the year. Membership to the academy is free of charge. AAP has co- ordinators in Australia, Bangkok, Brunei, Bangladesh, Canada, China, England, India, Japan, Kuwait, Maldives, Malaysia, Pakistan,and Taiwan,
