S. Iswaran, Minister of Trade and Industry (Industry), Republic of Singapore, visited the Colombo City Centre ( CCC) Experience Centre on 24th January 2018, for the inauguration of the building’s cornerstone that further reinforced the special friendship between Sri Lanka and Singapore. Dignitaries including Rusi Pestonjee, Director, Abans Group and Mr. Anand Nadathur, CEO, Next Story Group were present at this event as well.

Iswaran and his corresponding delegates were first taken on an informative tour of the CCC show suite. They were very appreciative of the future prospects of the overall development, and the unique dual-kitchen concept which will be integrated into the CCC residences. Iswaran, in particular, was impressed with Next Hotel and its innovative 21st century approach to the guest experience.

Then, a commemorative plaque, signifying the importance of the occasion, was presented to the CCC promoters, and will be laid as part of the cornerstone on the 9th floor of the Next Hotel, which is a component of Colombo City Centre.

This noteworthy event represents another landmark in the S. Iswaran’s official 03-day visit to Sri Lanka with Prime Minister Lee Hisen Loong, which encompassed the formal signing of a pivotal free trade agreement between Sri Lanka and Singapore.
