No changes at the top -Dellon, Denuwan and Harshitha comfortable

Cricketer of the Year 2018 competition comes to an end without any change in the top order of the three categories as Dellon Peiris, Denuwan Perera and Harshitha Samarawickrama continue to take the centre stage.
Without the inclusion of online votes this week, mainly due to some logistic issues, we will be publishing the results for the 19th week counted only with coupons. However those online votes which failed to appear this week will be counted in to-to in the coming week, when the result of the 20th week come out.
However no evident change has occurred in the ended week, leaving the top runners in their respective positions.
This makes S. Thomas' College leg-spinner Dellon Peiris the leader of the All-Island Schools category as he takes his total to an overwhelming 22706. Incidentally Dellon happens to be the only contender in the category to receive 547 votes while the second best in the list is -- 40 from bottom seed Ravindu Fernando of Maris Stella College, Negombo.
Sachin Silva of St. Peter's College remains at second position but he has managed only to add nine to his tally, which now reads as 13686. The difference between the two soars up to 9020. Others in the list namely Vihan Gunasekara of D.S. Senanayake College, Ananda College skipper Asel Sigera and Kavin Peiris of Lumbini College follow in down the order.
In the Emerging Schools category, leader Denuwan of Carey College added 404 votes to take his total to 11775 to lead second placed Kenula Gunaratne of St. Aloysius College Ratnapura, by 3321 votes, which is further lower than of last week. Kenula's total reached 8454 with the addition of 877 votes, which eventually is the best addition for the week by any contender.
Sonara Karunathunga and Thimira Malshan, both of Ananda Sasthralaya and Heshan Madushanka of Piliyandala Central follow in down the order for yet another week unchanged.
Harshitha Samarawickrama of Anula Vidyalaya, continues to lead the Girls' Schools category yet she anticipates stiff challenge from Pabasara Ranabahu of Rathnavali Girls' School Gampaha. The gap between the two continues to narrow down and by this week it reads as 973.
Harshitha added 514 votes, and her total moved to 7266 while Pabasara's tally reached 6293 with the addition of 754, the second best addition for the week. Kaveesha Dilhani of Devapathiraja MV, Rathgama and Ruwini Nandasena of St. Joseph's Girls School are the other two contenders in the list. With the online votes coming back to count next week with those uncounted this week, there could be major changes in standings. On coupons and online votes
Coupons will be published in the two English dailies, the Daily Mirror and DailyFT, and the two Sinhala dailies, Daily Lankadeepa and Ada and Sinhala Weekend, Deshaya with the deadline set in 11 more weekends. Readers could vote for their favourite schoolboy or schoolgirl cricketer and take them to the winning post during this period. Dialog Axiata's online voting system through their official Online Portal to vote for the Most Popular Cricketer (www.dialog.lk/cricket). Online voting will be open until April 5. Both coupon votes and online votes will be counted on a weekly basis and the official results published from every Sunday in the five newspapers and its websites.
The deadline for COUPONS and ONLINE VOTES will be every Thursday Noon. Online Votes received after the weekly cutoff time will be counted for the next week, while for Coupons, ONLY those numbered for the particular week will be taken into count. This week's digital voting count was monitored and approved by auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers.
