National Print Conference on March 15

The Sri Lanka Associatio­n of Printers ( SLAP) will hold its biennial print conference on March 15 at Waters Edge, Battaramul­la from 8.30 am to 5 pm.

This year’s theme focuses on "Going Global" and concepts and strategies discussed will benefit not only printers but profession­als from any industry and business discipline who are interested in expanding markets. The event will be declared open by Chandima Weerakkody, Minister of Skills Developmen­t and Vocational Training, according to an SLAP media release.

This year the resource panel consists of Dr. Ravi Fernando speaking on the “Global Challenge for Sustainabi­lity of Packaging.” Mário César Martins de Camargo from Brazil on the “Competitio­n to the Print Industry ,” K. R. Ravi nd ran–former Inter national Rotary President and CEO of Printcare Plc on the “Business of Printing ,” Sam path Aluthpatab­adige on “Human Potential Management for Sustainabl­e Business Enterprise” and Chandi Rambukpoth­a of Hi- Fashion from Hirdaraman­i Group on “Our Commitment for Compliance to Environmen­t.”

Prof. Raj end ra kumar Anayath, Vice Chancellor of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Haryana, India who chairs the judging committee of Sri Lanka Print Excellence Awards 2018 will deliver a lecture on Print Excellence.

The conference committee is headed by Peter Deckker, VP - Operations of TPrint, an Eswaran Group Company. It is sponsored by Cyber Group Singapore who supplies Ryobi Printing Equipment.
