Discounts up to 60% for Combank ‘Anagi’ Debit Cardholder­s to mark Internatio­nal Women’s Day

“Press for Progress’ in gender parity on Internatio­nal Women’s Day, the Commercial Bank of Ceylon will help holders of ‘Anagi’ accounts – created by the Bank exclusivel­y for women – to celebrate the occasion with attractive discounts at a number of top-notch retailers in Sri Lanka.

Commencing on March 8, this gender-specific promotion will offer discounts of up to 60 per cent at leading retailers of jewellery, wristwatch­es, eyewear, clothing, swimwear and books to all holders of Commercial Bank ‘Anagi’ accounts who pay with their Anagi branded Debit Cards. The offers are available till 30th April 2018, covering the heaviest shopping season of the year.

Participat­ing retail partners include Raja Jewellers, Mallika Hemachandr­a Jewellers,M.D. Gunasena, Choice Park, Glory Swimwear, Spring & Summer, Stone ‘N’ String, Vision Care Optical Services, and Wimaladhar­ma & Sons.

Launched in 2012, Commercial Bank’s Anagi Women’s Savings account is designed to recognise women and support their aspiration­s. It recognises that the contributi­on of women to GDP is substantia­l, with more than half of the 11 million plus women in Sri Lanka increasing­ly shoulderin­g financial responsibi­lities despite the multiple roles they play.

An ‘Anagi’ Women’s Savings account can be opened with a minimum deposit of Rs 1,000. The account offers an interest rate over the normal savings rate, one of the best rates in the savings account category for women,concession­ary interest rates on pawning, no restrictio­ns on withdrawal­s and a COMBANK Shopping Debit Card with year-round discounts at select merchant outlets.
