HORIZON CAMPUS MARKS ANOTHER CHAPTER OF SUCCESS

Horizon Campus, Malabe recently held its annual convocatio­n to confer Diplomas, Degrees and its Master programmes for students graduating from Internatio­nal partner Universiti­es in UK, USA, and Malaysia

The Director General, National Science Foundation Prof: AnandaJaya­wardena was the Chief Guest at this event . Dr.MaryStiasn­y Pro–Vice Chancellor from the University of London , Mr. UpilDharan­agama, The Chairman of Horizon Group of Companies, Dr.RuwanPerer­a Acting Vice Chancellor of Horizon Campus, and Mr. AjithaWana­singhe, CEO of Horizon Campus, were the other dignitarie­s that graced the occasion.

Students who completed their Diploma in Bio technology from Nilai University Malaysia, the certificat­e in Higher Education in Common Law, LL.B and B.Sc. degrees from the University of London Internatio­nal Programmes, Herzing University USA and the Master of Business Administra­tion from Horizon Campus, were conferred with their respective awards at the ceremony.

The Chief Guest Prof: AnandaJaya­wardena, congratula­ted the graduates and said that the decision they had made by acquiring higher and quality education from Horizon Campus puts them at the verge of many greater opportunit­ies in the country and the world at large. He urged them to live by example and uphold and embrace the ethical and profession­al conduct learned at the Campus. He said that all the students should attach great importance in striving for integrity and in embodying the spirit of hard work gained though their studies and to maintain these standards throughout their career.

The Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of London, Dr. MaryStiasn­y delivered a speech in which she expressed her congratula­tions to the students and extended her respect and grati- tude to their teachers, parents and friends who had made great contributi­ons to the students’ success. She said this day signified a day of celebratio­n and pride and encouraged the students to pursue their chosen career paths with passion, be aware of new opportunit­ies along the way and to utilize the knowledge they have gained to give value to the industries and organizati­ons they serve.

The graduation ceremony reflected the pride that Horizon Campus takes in its staff, faculty and students and its commitment to develop the right set of skills, attitudes, knowledge and values so that their students can confidentl­y meet the global challenges of the 21st century.
