HORIZON CAMPUS MARKS ANOTHER CHAPTER OF SUCCESS
Horizon Campus, Malabe recently held its annual convocation to confer Diplomas, Degrees and its Master programmes for students graduating from International partner Universities in UK, USA, and Malaysia
The Director General, National Science Foundation Prof: AnandaJayawardena was the Chief Guest at this event . Dr.MaryStiasny Pro–Vice Chancellor from the University of London , Mr. UpilDharanagama, The Chairman of Horizon Group of Companies, Dr.RuwanPerera Acting Vice Chancellor of Horizon Campus, and Mr. AjithaWanasinghe, CEO of Horizon Campus, were the other dignitaries that graced the occasion.
Students who completed their Diploma in Bio technology from Nilai University Malaysia, the certificate in Higher Education in Common Law, LL.B and B.Sc. degrees from the University of London International Programmes, Herzing University USA and the Master of Business Administration from Horizon Campus, were conferred with their respective awards at the ceremony.
The Chief Guest Prof: AnandaJayawardena, congratulated the graduates and said that the decision they had made by acquiring higher and quality education from Horizon Campus puts them at the verge of many greater opportunities in the country and the world at large. He urged them to live by example and uphold and embrace the ethical and professional conduct learned at the Campus. He said that all the students should attach great importance in striving for integrity and in embodying the spirit of hard work gained though their studies and to maintain these standards throughout their career.
The Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of London, Dr. MaryStiasny delivered a speech in which she expressed her congratulations to the students and extended her respect and grati- tude to their teachers, parents and friends who had made great contributions to the students’ success. She said this day signified a day of celebration and pride and encouraged the students to pursue their chosen career paths with passion, be aware of new opportunities along the way and to utilize the knowledge they have gained to give value to the industries and organizations they serve.
The graduation ceremony reflected the pride that Horizon Campus takes in its staff, faculty and students and its commitment to develop the right set of skills, attitudes, knowledge and values so that their students can confidently meet the global challenges of the 21st century.
