AMDT Festival of Creativity, the first and only to inspire Sri Lanka
AMDT’s Festival of Creativity celebrated Sri Lanka’s next generation of Creative Professionals with over 2000 people being a part of the celebrations.
Among some of the many influential attendees was the Chief Guest for the AMDT Graduation 2018, Hon. Eran Wickramaratne, M. P. ( State Minister of Finance) who inspired the gathering not only to be creative but also to bring Creativity into all the industries in Sri Lanka. Continuing to be an encouragement to AMDT, Sri Lanka’s renowned Film Director Mr. Chandran Rutnam and the former Unilever Marketing Director Mr. Mashoodh Meerasaibu, our Chief Guest and Guest of honour respectively for the AMDT Showcase 2018.
The official opening of the AMDT Showcase 2018, a Creative arts exhibition featuring AMDT students from multiple Creative disciplines such as Animation, Art, Fashion, Graphics, 3D, Motion Graphics, Films, Visual Effects, ( VFX), Photography, Branding, UX, Games, Interactivity, etc,
After witnessing and being inspired by some of the best Filmmaking and 3D animating talent the AMDT Graduates were showcasing, Mr. Rutnam gave the students an opportunity to become a part of his new Blockbuster Film project. Mr. Rutnam went on to mention that Sri Lanka now has the talent and capabilities to create multi-million dollar films and Animated movies that could make it into Hollywood.
Over 300 people witnessed the Creative Fashion artists at AMDT Fashion Show 2018 bring their best to the Runway. With over 75 garments on display, showcasing: Causal wear, Evening wear, Sportswear, Lingerie, Conceptual fashion and much more.
AMDT Festival of Creativity also brought Creative industry leaders worldwide together to collaborate in inspiring the public through the many Speaking sessions that were hosted at the AMDT Showcase on the 1st and at the Havelock City Club House on the 3rd and 4th & 6th of July, and at AMDT on the 11th & 12th of July.
The aim for the Festival of Creativity is to inspire young budding talent and everyone who attends to be Creative, is set to provide a platform for the Creative Industries to collaborate and engage to strengthen and transform Sri Lanka’s economy into a Creative Economy, thus creating a Creative country. This has been the Creative vision of AMDT.
The Festival of Creativity will be back next year!
