Jaguar Art of Performance Tour begins in Sri Lanka

-

Motor enthusiasts in Sri Lanka have been given the chance to witness Jaguar Art of Performance Tour in the island a series of driving experience events at the Katukurunda Racing track being held today (Sunday August 12).

It is organised by SML Frontier Automotive, sole agents of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in Sri Lanka in conjunction with the Mobitel Drag Battle Championship.

First introduced in Europe in 2016, the event was to make a stop in Sri Lanka for the first time as part of its Asia Pacific tour, a media release issued by SML Frontier Automotive revealed.

Its arrival in the island is aimed at giving Jaguar enthusiasts the opportunity to have a close and personal contact with the brand’s new crop of cars, it said.

Guests were to be provided an opportunity to test drive the Jaguar XE and Jaguar E-Pace on a dynamic driving circuit. The Jaguar Art of Performance racing circuit is with the WorldFirst Smart Cone technology, created by Jaguar, designed to exploit each car’s precise and agile handling and measure a driver’s skill, the media release highlighted.

Its conception was inspired by the agility training game known as “Batak”, a system using wireless technology to produce both a predetermined and a random course of intelligent illuminating cones, notifying drivers of their next target with only a moment’s notice.

Every driver gets a score report that takes into account the model of the car used and driving conditions.
