Top regional auto experts to unveil industry insights at LANKAAUTO 2018

Sri Lankans involved in the automotive industry have been given an opportunit­y to gain insights on latest developmen­ts and technology in the industry at a technical symposium organised to coincide with the LANKAAUTO 2018 (fair).

It will take place on August 24-26 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre in Colombo.

This is the first major Internatio­nal Auto and Auto Aftermarke­t Exhibition in Sri Lanka organised by AMB Tarsus Events Group.

The Lanka Motor Spare Parts Associatio­n, the Sri Lanka Automotive Component Manufactur­ers Associatio­n, the Institute of Automotive Engineers of Sri Lanka (IAESL) and the Sri Lanka Automotive Service Providers Associatio­n are the other collaborat­ors, the organisers announced.

The IAESL Technical Symposium will be the platform for the disseminat­ion of informatio­n relating to latest developmen­ts in the industry, AMB Tarsus Events Group revealed.

Around 10 top regional experts in the automotive engineerin­g field and more than 200 Sri Lankan industry profession­als are expected to attend the event.

“They will be discussing and sharing industry informatio­n, latest technology and processes providing an opportunit­y for local automotive industry personnel to get on track with the latest developmen­ts, innovation­s and insights in the automotive sector to improve the quality, productivi­ty and efficiency of their businesses,” the organising company said.

The industry expo is expected to feature more than 200 internatio­nal brands and companies, and attract over 6,000 trade visitors nationwide including importers, distributo­rs, dealers, fleet owners, regulators, and operators of service centres, etc.

Overseas participan­ts include those from Germany, Italy, France, UK, US, India, UAE, Singapore, China, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia and Taiwan.
