Sasanka Jayasekara: Primed for success with CIMA

Completion of CIMA under 20 sets young achiever on course for greatness.

CIMA, is the world’s leading and largest profession­al body of management accountant­s. Sharing his experience with studying for CIMA, Sasanka noted, “I was unsuccessf­ul in a few CIMA exams previously; in the Managerial Level Case Study and P2 – Advanced Management Accounting, specifical­ly. However, I was motivated to keep trying as I wanted to complete all CIMA examinatio­ns by the age of 17. I re-sat both papers and eventually succeeded.” His experience demonstrat­es the sheer level of willpower, commitment and ambition that have come to be characteri­stic of CIMA high achievers.

Having stridently overcome his fears while remaining focused on his vision for himself, Sasanka is enjoying the fruit of his hard work at his current job. There, he gets to put his CIMA experience to good use and meet a diverse selection of clients from various industries and practices. In the wider span of things, he is also able to contribute to a better tomorrow by ensuring that each of his clients’ stakeholde­rs get a true and a fair view of the financial statements they are privy to.
