Learning

Cultural shift is a mind revolution changing a teaching university culture into learning and reading university culture which is a hard way forward. From the beginning of the systematic education after the independence from colonial clutches the country has been practicing the teaching methods more stubbornly than flexible learning methods. Therefore, changing the mind sets and re-structuring the cognitive map of students have become a major challenge. Though there are positive impacts immerged from time to time the UWU symbolizes the need of the structural change of the countries’ education system envisioning the multiple learning approaches by changing the teaching methods into learning models incorporating existing hierarchical structure of knowledge, skills and attitudes into attitudes, knowledge and skills by giving the priority for the thinking aspects than robotic mechanism. Conversion of human doing into human being is the key element of education which can only be done by developing the reading habits of the upcoming generation. Therefore, it is a must to give our first place to the library which meant to be the heart of the university. Reading can be more enthusiastic when it is trained and encouraged from the living culture. Unless it is well supported by the family, elementary schools, and public agents:- students would remain stagnated having less independency in their endeavors.

Power to Success

“Development does not start with goods, it starts with people their education” small Is beautiful is Oxford-trained economist E. F. Schumacher’s classic call for the end of excessive consumption. Schumacher inspired such movements as “Buy Locally” and “Fair Trade,” while voicing strong opposition to “casino capitalism” and wasteful corporate behemoths. Named one of the Times Literary Supplement’s 100 Most Influential books, Since World War II, Small Is Beautiful presents eminently logical arguments for building our economies around the needs of communities, not corporations.

Graduation is one of the most important milestones in life. However, you are yet to find out what learning is really like. I take this opportunity to wishing you all the best on this special day. Good luck and Congratulations to you!

“Education is most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”
