MAS Holdings dominate Day 1 of Mercantile Athletics

MAS Holdings took a huge step in their attempt to regain the overall title by dominating the opening day of the 35th Mercantile Athletics Championsh­ips which began at the Sugathadas­a Stadium in Colombo yesterday.

MAS Holdings finished with an overall aggregate of 156 points while their closest rivals SLT Telecom managed to secure only 46 points.

SriLankan Airlines were placed third in the overall rankings with a total of 35 points.
