Mövenpick Hotel Colombo hosts first ever “Mövenpick Weddings” fair

Mövenpick Hotel Colombo will be launching its first ever “Mövenpick Weddings” and introducin­g a brand-new intimate concept to the city. Working alongside the theme of ‘Intimate. Precious. Extraordin­ary’, the event will take place on the 1 September at the hotel.

With twenty one carefully hand-picked and selected partners from the industry, the exhibitors have been invited to create and transform the spaces allocated to them to make this event a resounding success. The exhibitor list includes Buddhi Batiks, Michael Wijesuriya, The Bridal Atelier by Ramona Oshini, Hameedia, Aslam Hussein, O:Live Couture, Belle Amour, Ramani Fernando Salons, Elegance by Design, Wedding Connection­s, Shirohana, Lassana Flora, Petals, Alankara, Stone-N-String, Unique Jewellers, Fashion Fabrics Events by Shero, The Banquet Company, Studio 3000, Studio U and Nadun Baduge. The country’s leading Bridal magazine ‘Brides of Sri Lanka’ will be the official magazine partner on the day while Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivar­u Maldives will also promote their brand new Resort to the Sri Lankan audience as the ideal honeymoon destinatio­n.

“Mövenpick Weddings – Intimate. Precious. Extraordin­ary” aims to display the creativity produced within this indus- try, enabling them to showcase their talents freely. This in turn will encourage future brides to understand and appreciate the unique talents put forth by designers and exhibitors.

The event is open to the public on Saturday 1 September from 10.00 am – 6.00 pm inviting all future brides and those interested in an intimate wedding concept in a beautiful setting located in the heart of Colombo.
