-

Prestige Funeral Planners ( PFP) recently launched Sri Lanka’s first-ever professional Funeral Planning Service. This novel and first- of- itskind service is intended to support loved ones as they face the reality of losing a family member or friend

This service is very popular in the Western world. Sri Lanka will now have this professional service offered by Prestige Funeral Planners spearheaded by Satyajith Ratnayake, Lahiru Wickremasinghe and Shohrab Salman.

“Death is a generally highly sensitive topic in Sri Lanka. However, many inquiries and requests for assistance from friends and family prompted us to launch such a comprehensive service. It is our intent to take charge and relieve the bereaved family”, said Lahiru Wickremasinghe, Director of Prestige Funeral Planners (PFP).

PFP’s services extend to all areas from co-ordinating funeral directors, newspaper advertisements and flower arrangements to catering, among a range of services provided which also includes co-ordinating repatriation services.

With packages designed to cater to a broader customer base, the service will initially be available in the Colombo and Gampaha districts and eventually extend to other areas.

“Our team is equipped and trained to mobilise in a couple of hours and provides a cost-effective service to loved ones, who are often left with bearing the burden in this situation and spending a comparatively large amounts within a short time frame. We will also launch the option to pre-plan a funeral thus taking away the burden from the family when the death finally happens”, said Shohrab Salman Director of Prestige Funeral Planners.
