Australian University Application Day concludes on a high note at the ANC Future Center - Kandy

ANC Future Center, a renowned career guidance, counselling and placement service center for overseas higher education, expanded its horizons and established a branch in Kandy with the aim of assisting students, from the hill capital as well as from the other parts of the country, to realize their dreams of higher education, without the hassle of travelling to Colombo frequently.

With the scope of giving students and parents in Kandy the opportunity to gain first-hand information on studying and living in Australia, the experienced team at the ANC Future Center – Kandy branch organized an Australian University Application Day on the 17th of September. An event of this scale was organized for the first time at the ANC Future Center – Kandy. This provided a platform for aspiring students to meet representatives from four leading universities in Australia. The students were able t o m e e t M r. RutwikPungliya ( Senior Regional Manager - University of Western Australia), Ms. MeghanaRajendra ( Student Recruitment Manager - Charles Stuart University), Ms. ChenaliAmarathunge, ( International Recruitment officer - Victoria University), Mr. Varun Gupta ( Student Recruitment Manager - University of Western Sydney) as well as Dr. Wayne Fallon (Associate Dean InternationalSchool of Business - University of Western Sydney). This event was successfully concluded with the participation of a large number of enthusiastic students, not only from Kandy but also from many other parts of Kandy. The representatives carried on one- to- one discussions with the students as well as their parents. A large inflow of positive feedback, especially from the parents, was received, since meeting representatives put the minds of the parents at ease, while inspiring and encouraging students with a promise of an exciting and successful life in Australia.

Additionally, students who are already enrolled with ANC Future Center as well as other interested students were given the opportunity to meet representatives from La Trobe University and Queensland University of Technology on the 15th of September and 18th of September, respectively. Mr. Arun Gaur (Senior Admissions and Marketing Officer) and Ms. KitiwanBuabarn(International Promotional Officer) representing the two universities met the students and conducted informative sessions on the academic programs as well as the lifestyles of international students in Australia.
