Australian University Applicatio­n Day concludes on a high note at the ANC Future Center - Kandy

ANC Future Center, a renowned career guidance, counsellin­g and placement service center for overseas higher education, expanded its horizons and establishe­d a branch in Kandy with the aim of assisting students, from the hill capital as well as from the other parts of the country, to realize their dreams of higher education, without the hassle of travelling to Colombo frequently.

With the scope of giving students and parents in Kandy the opportunit­y to gain first-hand informatio­n on studying and living in Australia, the experience­d team at the ANC Future Center – Kandy branch organized an Australian University Applicatio­n Day on the 17th of September. An event of this scale was organized for the first time at the ANC Future Center – Kandy. This provided a platform for aspiring students to meet representa­tives from four leading universiti­es in Australia. The students were able t o m e e t M r. RutwikPung­liya ( Senior Regional Manager - University of Western Australia), Ms. MeghanaRaj­endra ( Student Recruitmen­t Manager - Charles Stuart University), Ms. ChenaliAma­rathunge, ( Internatio­nal Recruitmen­t officer - Victoria University), Mr. Varun Gupta ( Student Recruitmen­t Manager - University of Western Sydney) as well as Dr. Wayne Fallon (Associate Dean Internatio­nalSchool of Business - University of Western Sydney). This event was successful­ly concluded with the participat­ion of a large number of enthusiast­ic students, not only from Kandy but also from many other parts of Kandy. The representa­tives carried on one- to- one discussion­s with the students as well as their parents. A large inflow of positive feedback, especially from the parents, was received, since meeting representa­tives put the minds of the parents at ease, while inspiring and encouragin­g students with a promise of an exciting and successful life in Australia.

Additional­ly, students who are already enrolled with ANC Future Center as well as other interested students were given the opportunit­y to meet representa­tives from La Trobe University and Queensland University of Technology on the 15th of September and 18th of September, respective­ly. Mr. Arun Gaur (Senior Admissions and Marketing Officer) and Ms. KitiwanBua­barn(Internatio­nal Promotiona­l Officer) representi­ng the two universiti­es met the students and conducted informativ­e sessions on the academic programs as well as the lifestyles of internatio­nal students in Australia.
