Musaeus and Ananda reign supreme
Musaeus College and Ananda College reigned supreme at the All-Island Inter- School Colombo Regional ‘ Cool’ Tennis Tournament 2018 which was held at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts. The three-day tournament was held on September 28, 29 and 30 with over hundreds of young players participating.
Musaeus Colle g e clinched first places in the Girls Green Ball and Orange Ball categories while finishing at second and third in the Red Ball c at e g o r y. Musaeus ‘ Challengers’ finished above Ladies’ College ‘A’ and Visakha Vidyalaya ‘A’ in the Green Ball category while Musaeus ‘Futures’ topped the Orange Ball category ahead of Visakha Vidyalaya ‘A’ and Methodist College ‘A’.
Holy Family Convent secured the first place in the Red Ball category for girls while Musaeus ‘Achievers’ finished second followed by Musaeus ‘Challengers’ at third.
In the Boys category, Ananda College ‘A’ swept the board by winning all three categories -- the Green Ball, Orange Ball and Red Ball. Ananda ‘A’ placed on top in the Green Ball category ahead of Royal College ‘ Blue’ and St. Peter’s College ‘A’. In the Orange Ball category Ananda ‘A’ again topped the group with St. Peter’s ‘A’ finishing at second and Royal ‘Blue’ finishing at third. The Red Ball category had the similar finish as the Orange Ball as Ananda ‘A’ completed a hat-trick in this year’s junior tennis competitions.
