Natya Kala Mandhir Dance Dramas at Int'l Ramayana Festival

Artistes of Natya Kala Mandhir presented Dance Dramas at the 4th Internatio­nal Ramayana Festival organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, at ‘ Kamani Auditorium’, New Delhi on October 29, at ‘ Centre for Environmen­t Education’, Ahmedabad on October 31, and at ‘ Parul University’, Baroda on November 2.

Artistes from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand and India were invited to present their artistic creations on the epic Ramayana, in order to experience the impact of Ramayana world over.

‘Sri Rama Kavya' was choreograp­hed and produced by renowned Bharathana­tyam Guru Kalasuri Vasugy Jegatheesw­aran, and well known dance exponents T.K. T hi ru chelvam,T. Tharmaling­am performed in this programme, along with Natya Kala Mandhir the senior artistes, Shalini Vageeshwar­an, Arthana Jambunatha­n, Harinni Amrritha Vishvanath­an, Vidhushali Ganesh, Kaikeshwar­i Manoharan, Dakshana Kumararatn­am and Keerthana Varatharaj­an.

Dance Drama was conceptual­ised by S. Vishvanath­an and Music composed by Nadika Weligodapo­la.
