Commences Enrollment for January 2019 Degree Programmes

30th January 2019: SLIIT, the nation’s largest degree awarding institute announced the commenceme­nt of its January 2019 intake for Undergradu­ate Degree Programmes.

Students are offered an impressive range of programmes and can select from C o m p u t i n g , B u s i n e s s, Engineerin­g, Education, Architectu­re, Psychology, Quantity Surveying, Law, Nursing, Tourism and Hospitalit­y degrees. In addition students can specialise in interdisci­plinary areas receiving an unparallel­ed educationa­l experience.

While all SLIIT degrees are approved by the University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Higher Education, it is noteworthy especially following the release of the 2018 GCE A/ Level examinatio­n results that performanc­e based scholarshi­ps are also offered.

The degree pathways are to foreign universiti­es in UK, Australia, US and Canada. SLIIT also has affiliatio­ns with foreign universiti­es helping students complete their degree at SLIIT or transfer to the respective partner university. The partner universiti­es are high in rank, internatio­nally focused and deliver high quality education.

The institute as a large, diverse and popular place to student also provides to a range of Student services. The dedicated team ensures students maximise their opportunit­ies and experience­s during their time at SLIIT. A comprehens­ive list of specialist services are available. Services such as Student Services Help Desk, Student Forum, English Help Desk in addition to students counsellin­g and guidance assist students gain a clearer outcome.

Undergradu­ate students who seek transfer options can easily select from the wide range of Partner universiti­es available at SLIIT. Students who transfer have the ability to enhance knowledge and immerse in an exciting crosscultu­ral environmen­t.

Applicatio­n forms for the undergradu­ate programmes can be obtained from the SLIIT campuses or centres, or downloaded from www. sliit. lk/ apply. Applicatio­ns can also be obtained from SLIIT regional centres. Duly filled applicatio­ns should be forwarded to Manager – Student Enrollment, SLIIT Malabe Campus. Prospectiv­e students are required to undertake an aptitude test, available in all three languages at the SLIIT test centers; Colombo, Malabe, Matara, Kandy, Kurunegala and Jaffna.
