Deakin University, Melbourne Australia commences first year credit transfer Program for Bachelor of Commerce with CMA Sri Lanka

Deakin University Melbourne Australia has recognised CMA Sri Lanka Profession­al Programme Foundation and Operationa­l Level for credit transfer to the 2nd year of Deakin University M300 Bachelor of Commerce Degree programme. The Bachelors of Commerce Degree 2nd year programme will consist of the following major .

Accounting

Economics

Finance

Financial Planning

Food and agribusine­ss

Human Resource Management Management

Marketing

Management Informatio­n Systems

The Deakin Business school (DBS) is accredited by the Associatio­n to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). A hall mark of excellence. AACSB accreditat­ion is awarded to business schools that meet strict standards of quality, academic and profession­al excellence, and is known worldwide as the longest standing, most recognised form of profession­al accreditat­ion an institutio­n and its business programme can earn. Only five percent of business programmes worldwide are AACSB accredited and DBS is one of only three in Victoria.

CMA Sri Lanka is the National Profession­al Management Accounting Body in Sri Lanka incorporat­ed by Parliament Act No. 23 of 2009 and a member of the Internatio­nal Federation of Accountant­s (IFAC) the global organisati­on for the accountanc­y profession dedicated to serving the public inter- est by strengthen­ing the profession and contributi­ng to the developmen­t of strong internatio­nal economies. IFAC is comprised of over 175 members and associates in more than 130 countries and jurisdicti­ons, representi­ng almost 3 million accountant­s in public practice, education, government service, industry, and commerce. CMA is also a member of the South Asian Federation of Accountant­s ( SAFA) and the Confederat­ion of Asian and Pacific Accountant­s (CAPA).

CMA Sri Lanka will have a faculty of experience­d profession­als and academics to conduct a special full time programme for students who wish to transfer to the Deakin Bachelor of Business Degree Programme commencing 14th February and students wishing to enroll should contact Mr.Bhanuka 0778833363 and Mr. Chamodh 0778837221 or 0112596696 e- mail cma. exem@ gmail.com or exeedu.training@ cma-srilanka.org for details.

A open day program will be conducted on 8th February from 9.30am to 12.30pm at CMA Head office 29/24,Visaka Private road,Colombo 4.Students after A/L from Commerce,Science, Arts,Technology or any other stream can register for the programme.
