Best Corporate Citizen awards from Ceylon Chamber

-

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce recently conducted the preliminary briefing on the application process of the Best Corporate Citizen and Sustainability Awards (BCCS) 2019.

Applications for the awards for both the Best Corporate Citizen and the best sustainability awards will be open until October 11, 2019.

Categories that companies will be evaluated on Best Corporate Citizen and Sustainability Awards are Employee Relations, Community Relations, Economic Contribution and Governance, Customer Relations, and the Environment, the chamber said.

All information submitted with the application will be treated with utmost confidentiality, and will be restricted to the premises allowed for evaluation; which is under the chamber’s purview.

“Furthermore, if any potential applicant other than public listed companies requires to sign a non-disclosure agreement to provide its financials for evaluations, the chamber is willing to provide necessities accordingly,” the chamber statement said.

The chamber recommends keeping applications simple, attractive, and well organized; and to be precise with references where annexures and documents are concerned.

“You do a lot, but make sure it is presented in the right manner. Link the application to your overall strategies. That can be advantageous,” Kanishka Weerasinghe, an evaluator, advised the attendees at the briefing seminar.
