Further, we received the services of eminent experts in Integrated Reporting both globally and locally in our judging process under the Chairmanship of Prof. Ho Yew Kee,Professor and Provost (Skills and Staff Development) Singapore Institute of Technology and former Head of Accounting - National University of Singapore to ensure the highest standards and quality of our flagship Integrated Reporting competition.

We were indeed pleased to have Mr. Graham Terry, IIRC Ambassador from South Africa and former Senior Executive for Strategy and Thought Leadership SAICA who was nominated to represent IIRC in addition to his role as a Judge and Technical Advisor to CMA on Integrated Reportingat the Awards competition from its inception.

Deakin Business School, Melbourne, Australia sponsored the‘Merit Award for Integrated Thinking’ for the second time. We appreciate very much the support given by Deakin Business School for promoting Integrated Reporting in Sri Lanka and the nomination of Assoc Prof Dr Luckmika Perera as a member of the panel of judges. We also had a very competent and dedicated panel of evaluators who had to undergo many training programmes on to play the key role entrusted to them.

At the end of each competition a detailed judges report is prepared for the benefit of those companies participating and a Skype workshop for participating companies held with Mr. Graham Terry, IIRC Ambassador and a senior member on the panel of Judges. This has resulted in significant improvements in the integrated reports prepared by companies. This year’s Awards included the 10 Best Awards, Overall Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards, 13 sector Awards, 9 Special Awards and 17 Certificates of Merit.

I wish to congratulate all the Award Winners for their exceptional performance and for all other companies that participated and that they will strive to achieve excellence next year.
