Brantel appointed local distributor for world’s top solar panel maker JA Solar

-

Brantel Lanka Ltd has been appointed as the authorised distributor in Sri Lanka for JA Solar of China, the leading solar cell producer in the world, further consolidating the company’s contribution to the country’s sustainable energy sector.

Brantel will be responsible for the sales of JA Solar’s 330W Polycrystalline Modules in Sri Lanka, the maintenance of adequate stocks of these photovoltaic panels for companies that install solar power systems and the implementation of the JA Solar warranty scheme, the local company said in a media release.

Each 1m x 2m (991mm×1960mm×40mm) panel has a maximum rated output of 330 watts. Brantel plans to introduce JA Solar’s larger 435W module in the near future for installations seeking to generate higher power from smaller spaces, a spokesman for the company said.

JA Solar panels carry a 12 year manufacturer’s warranty against product defects – the highest in the market – and a 25 year performance warranty.

Commenting on this partnership with JA Solar, the Brantel spokesman said: “The addition of solar panels from the world’s leading brand to our renewable energy products portfolio significantly enhances our position in this business, because we already represent one of the world’s leading inverter brands. Brantel now offers two of the principal elements required for solar power generation and is poised for growth.”

JA Solar is not a stranger to Sri Lanka; the brand powers the Solar One Ceylon Power Station, a 10 MWAC solar photovoltaic farm built in January 2017 at Welikanda by SolarOne Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd. The solar farm utilises 315W and 320W polycrystalline modules manufactured by JA Solar Holdings.

Brantel Lanka Pvt Ltd. delivers technology and value added services to more than 2000 business customers. The company partners with leading technology brands from around the world to simplify and accelerate sales channels.
