Sri Lanka Physically challenged cricketers to counter Wales

The Wales physically challenged cricket team will tour Sri Lanka to play a series of four matches which includes two T20 internationals and two One Day Internationals.

The tour has been proposed by the the Wales Physically Challenged Cricket Association. The series will be played at the Prince of Wales College grounds in Moratuwa. Matches will be played from October 27 to 30.

Since Physically Challenged cricket was introduced to Sri Lanka in 2014, the country has achieved greater heights during a short span. The Sri Lanka squad consists of 25 players and 16 of them are war heroes.

They were invited to play the Physically Challenged World Cup 2019 in England, but could not take part due to financial restrain and lack of sponsors.

Physical Challenged cricket has grown in importance over the last few years. In countries such as England, India and South Africa and many other nations, the respective cricket boards sponsor their teams. In 2016 Sri Lanka was able to beat the world champions India (3-0) on their home soil.

This will be the first time that the Sri Lanka physically challenge cricket team will play against an European team. This tour will be a part of their preparation for the World Cup in 2020.

Sri Lanka Cricket Association for Physically Challenged is eagerly anticipating the support of their parent body for the future assignments. They also invite the former cricketers to witness this historic moment in the history of Sri Lanka cricket.
