ABDA GROUP has been appointed cargo GSA for Turkish Airlines in Sri Lanka

The new appointmen­t comes at the heels of the burgeoning relationsh­ip between the two companies covering a tenured Cargo GSA relationsh­ip in Malaysia and a robust Interline relationsh­ip through ABDA’s partner World Cargo Solutions.

The event was held at a grand ballroom in downtown Colombo with over 250 guests in attendance. The people assembled represente­d a cross section of freight forwarders fully representi­ng the Sri Lankan marketplac­e and reaffirmin­g Turkish Airlines’ vaunted position as Sri Lanka’s 5th largest air cargo operator as of 2019.

In attendance from Turkish Airlines Cargo were Fatih Cigal – Senior Vice President Cargo Marketing, Selahaddin Burak Omeroglu – Vice President, Cargo Sales ( Middle East and South Asia) and Halit Tuncer – Regional Cargo Sales Manager ( MESA). The gentlemen reconnecte­d with many of their valued clients in the Sri Lankan marketplac­e and presented various awards to their clients for their achievemen­ts in 2019.

Airlines, for this appointmen­t”, said Muhammad Zulkarnain, Group Chief Executive Officer of the ABDA Group.

With the wonderful new airport in Istanbul, the aggressive and profession­al management team and their robust partnershi­ps – I see it as a dawning certainty,” he continued.
