Calorie Counter takes healthy eating to Negombo

-

Sri Lanka’s homegrown health-conscious restaurant chain Calorie Counter recently opened up its latest outlet in the tourist hotspot of Negombo. Situated down the bustling Lewis Place, the outlet is a welcome addition to the culinary delights of the seaside town. The outlet has been open since 19th December 2019, while the official launch party was held on Friday 24th January 2020. The outlet sees Founder Duaine Peiris and Director Sandesh Sharma partner with Janaka Weeramanthri, who is no stranger to Negombo’s eclectic food scene.

The launch party was held amidst a gathering of family and friends, media personnel and food enthusiasts while doors were also open to those passing by on a cool Friday evening. Entertainment was provided by the maestro Derek Wickramanyake who went acoustic for a change.

The Negombo outlet will be open daily from 7am to 10pm serving all the favourites on the Calorie Counter menu. “Energy from the Ocean”, a seafood platter paying homage to Negombo’s freshest catch- ofthe- day is the exclusive addition to the menu.

Calorie Counter also operates two outlets in the heart of Colombo and within the historic Galle Fort. The locations are strategically chosen and have been welcome additions to the food scene at Ward Place and Galle respectively. The location in Negombo is again very strategic as it is situated on a street that is frequented day and night by local and international visitors. Calorie Counter’s healthy meals gives the health conscious traveller an option that is also amazingly tasty.
