Quiz and Poster Competitio­n for

Chemical Sciences organised by Sri Lanka Associatio­n for the Advancemen­t of Science (SLAAS) was held on 19th September 2020.The Quiz competitio­n was held for three rounds. One written exam, semifinal round and the final round. The team from College of Chemical Sciences,

Institute of Chemistry

Ceylon and the team from University of Colombo were selected for the final round. Team CCS secured the second place after a very competitiv­e quiz session. The team members were Isiwara Rathnayake, Dilhan Jayasinghe, Pujani Usliyanage and Nikitha Bandara.The poster competitio­n was held virtually under three themes; Value addition to natural resources in Sri Lanka, Green Energy, and Bio-weapons. The team from College of Chemical Sciences, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon under the theme Green Energy was able to secure the second place out of eight universiti­es, at the end of the day.The team members were Kusalvin Dabare, Ashen Saranguhew­a, Devin
