At peace with Jesus, cherished daughter of the late Dr. Philip and Bertha Perera, loving sister of the late Dr. Frank Perera, late Dorothy Perera, late Phyllis Perera, late Cynthi Mallawaratchi and late Tony Perera. Beloved wife of the late Joe Abeyesundere and muchloved mother of the late Trevor Abeyesundere and Shanthini (“Nuki”) Abeyesundere. Treasured mother-in-law of Marian Abeyesundere and Sujit Canagaretna, precious grandmother of Trevina Abeyesundere and adored aunt of Roanne Chandraratna. Her remains will lie at the AF Raymond Funeral Parlour # 4, Sunday October 18th from 1pm to 2: 30pm and will be followed by a service of thanksgiving and cremation at 3pm at the General Cemetery, Kan nat te, new crematorium. No flowers by request but please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association of Sri Lanka. STM

GOMEZ – MRS. VERNA MARGARET (NEE JAYAWARDENE) passed away peacefully in her sleep aged 83 years, on the morning of Thursday 24th September in the UK. Beloved mother of Eleonor, Debbie and Jeremy, mother- in- law of Mark and Russell, grandmother of Lara, Adam, Annika, Natascha, Harry, Charlie, Tansy and Maric, grandmother- in- law to Phil, and great-grandmother of Sofiya, Leo and Xavi; beloved sister of late Violet, Pearlie, late Consy, Brenda and Felix Shelton.
