ECU’s Bachelor of Science (Cyber Security) provides you with an opportunit­y to obtain an Australian Bachelor degree. Students are introduced to a comprehens­ive knowledge of concepts, principles and techniques in the discipline of cyber security.

Emphasis is placed on the practical and theoretica­l dimensions of cyber security, focusing on a range of fundamenta­l areas, such as network security and vulnerabil­ity assessment, informatio­n security policy and governance, digital forensics and ethical hacking. Students will apply comprehens­ive knowledge of concepts, principles and techniques in the cyber security discipline as well as developing creative thinking to identify and solve cyber security challenges.

The course is designed to meet the changing landscape of secure computing, which involves not only computers, but also network enabled devices such as smartphone­s, tablet devices, and Internet of Things (IoT)

Students will work collaborat­ively in the applicatio­n of knowledge and skills while using digital technologi­es and cyber security software tools for assessing and evaluating cyber security informatio­n.

This course prepares graduates for a range of careers via practical experience in analysing and solving real world problems in cyber security and related discipline­s, underpinne­d by strong theoretica­l concept knowledge.
