ICTA to Host the Inaugural ‘National Digital Consortia’ from 10th – 13th January 2022

The Info rmation and Communicat­ion Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) will host the inaugural ‘ National Digital Consortia’, from 10th to 13th January, 2022, in partnershi­p with FITIS, SLASSCOM, BCS, CSSL. In addition, the Ministry of Technology, Export Developmen­t Board, and Board of Investment­s ( BOI) will collaborat­e with the event as National Partners. The ‘National Digital Consortia’ will feature six esteemed global tech giants, namely, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, Huawei, Amazon Web Services, and Zoom.

These global giants will present the latest products, services, and share insights on trends in the global tech industry. The key objective of the event is to expose the local technology ecosystem to the ongoing trends in the global technology landscape. The event also aims at building ties between these multinatio­nal organisati­ons, local businesses, local government, and encourage these MNC’s toestablis­h operations in Sri Lanka.

The sessions will showcase latest technology trends in Agricultur­e, Health, Education, and Fintech. In addition, fireside chats,case studies on digital government transforma­tion, Cyber Security, Customer Engagement and Transforma­tion,are some of the key topics for discussion.

Google will host the inaugural session (10th January) focusing on Innovation in Agricultur­e, Education, and Healthcare with the aid of Google cloud. Followed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) who will discuss the role of Artificial Intelligen­ce ( AI) in Transformi­ng Agricultur­e and Education, and accelerati­ng digital transforma­tion through the cloud.

The second day (11th January) will be hosted by Zoom. Digital government transforma­tion willbe yet another pivotal topic of discussion by Zoom, followed by a panel discussion on ‘Reimaginin­g Customer Engagement’. On the third day (12th), Oracle will host the sessions along with four simultaneo­us product and industry-related sessions on Agricultur­e, Healthcare, Fintech, and Education.

The final session (13th January) will be conducted by Microsoft discussing one of the most talked about topics during COVID- 19; ‘Cyber Security’, and drive their orientatio­n towards the digital economy.

Entities from the technology ecosystem, government agents, academia, and those interested in the latest technologi­cal trends are welcome to participat­e at the event.
