CIPM Gavel Club Holds its 6th Installation Ceremony
Harmonizing with the shades of the evening skies the young Gaveliers of the CIPM Gavel Club dressed radiantly in red and black, walked into the plush compact auditorium of the CIPM Premises for its 06th Installation Ceremony held on the 11th of December 2021.
District Director 2021/22 - District 82 of Toastmasters International, Distinguished Toastmaster Srianthie Salgado graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the Vice President of CIPM Sri Lanka, Mr. Ken Vijayakumar was the Guest of Honor. Others who graced and added glamour and value to the occasion were the Club Mentor - Distinguished Toastmaster Nehansa Weerasinghe, members of CIPM Toastmasters Club, Invitees from other Gavel Clubs, Past Presidents and Parents.
The ceremony was hosted by Gaveliers Suhansa Dodangoda, Adhiythya Dissanayake and Thisath Senevirathne. The welcome speech was delivered by Gavelier Devindi Ponweera followed by the lighting of the traditional oil lamp.
Toastmaster Dinusha Withanage took upon the stage to induct the new members, followed by the installation of Club Officers by Toastmaster Maheshi Fernando. The Outgoing President Gavelier Aalia Khulusie and her team were officially discharged from their duties. Gavelier Aadhil Kitchil was installed as the 6th President of the club.
The winners of the club contests and the members who completed their educational manuals were awarded their certificates during the ceremony. Gavelier Aalia Khulusie was recognized as the Most Outstanding Gavelier of the Year 2020/21.
The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the newly elected Secretary, Gavelier Subashi Bhagya followed by fellowship and refreshments.
