The Sri Lanka – Maldives Business Council Held Its 15th Annual General Meeting

The 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka – Maldives Business Council (SLMLBC), The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Courtyard by Marriott, Colombo. His Excellency, Mr. Ali Faiz, High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, graced the event as the chief guest, with Mr. Suren Ediriweera, the Managing Director of Ceylon Tours Ltd., attending as a guest speaker for the evening.

As the newly elected president, Mr. Sudesh Mendis delivered his acceptance speech during which he expressed his sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Mr. Ali Faiz, High Commissioner of the Maldives and the members of the Sri Lanka-Maldives business council for believing in him throughout his tenure at the council. Mr. Mendis outlined his vision for the upcoming year, which aims to fully capitalise on the benefits that Sri Lanka has to offer and expand Sri Lanka’s market share in the Maldives.
