Endorsed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education, the SLTC MBA programme is one of the most flexible programmes available in Sri Lanka, offering three distinct pathways for students to complete their studies, including coursework, project-based learning, or research-based study.

The inauguration of this groundbreaking MBA programme was celebrated during an official ceremony held at SLTC Research University’s Colombo campus, situated at Trace Expert City in Colombo 01. SLTC Research University’s MBA is set apart from the plethora of programmes available due to multiple reasons. The MBA being a programme directly offered by the University, the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies at SLTC Research University has meticulously crafted the twoyear programme to cater to the modern MBA student’s practical needs.

Professor Veranja Karunarathne, Vice Chancellor/CEO of SLTC Research University, highlighted the motivation behind this initiative: “An observation of Sri Lanka’s higher education landscape reveals a plethora of MBA programmes from both local and foreign universities, driven by the growing demand among aspiring professionals. However, we recognised that there is a scarcity of MBA programmes genuinely dedicated to equipping students with contemporary and practical knowledge, thereby producing exceptionally capable professionals. The SLTC MBA programme is meticulously designed to bridge this gap and empower professionals to achieve exceptional career growth.”

Delivered by a distinguished faculty with proven expertise in academia and the corporate world, the SLTC MBA programme seamlessly combines essential knowledge and skills with critical networking capabilities, providing the ideal path for climbing the corporate ladder.

Furthermore, SLTC Research University’s MBA programme is renowned for its affordability and thoughtfully designed entry criteria. The admissions process takes into account applicants’ academic backgrounds, work experience, and professional qualifications, ensuring accessibility to a diverse range of candidates.
