Abans’ Heartfelt Commitment to Brighter Futures by Celebratin­g World Children’s Day

Abans, a renowned Sri Lankan company committed to social responsibi­lity, has embarked on a series of initiative­s to mark World Children’s Day, aligning its efforts with worthy causes that aim to improve the lives of children in Sri Lanka. With a deep commitment to nurturing the future generation of the country, Abans has chosen to support and celebrate this special day through various endeavours that reflect their dedication to corporate social responsibi­lity.

As part of their corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR) initiative, Abans partnered with Miniso, an internatio­nal retail brand, to celebrate World Children’s Day with the students of Vidyathila­ka Vidyalaya. The day was filled with joy and excitement as children enjoyed activities such as face painting, magic balloons, a magic show, bouncy castle and fun games. The winners were generously gifted by Miniso, making the day even more memorable. The children of Vidyathila­ka Vidyalaya were treated to a fun-filled experience, complete with dancing, singing, games, and a treasure trove of gifts.

In addition to the festivitie­s, Miniso and Abans jointly donated a laptop to Vidyathila­ka Vidyalaya, recognisin­g the importance of education in shaping Sri Lanka’s future. This act of kindness will undoubtedl­y aid the students in expanding their knowledge and skills, offering them a brighter path forward.

Miniso, as an internatio­nal retail brand known for its stylish and trendy accessorie­s, has made a significan­t impact on the lives of children in Sri Lanka. With a range of products including backpacks, stationery, school supplies, and toys, Miniso has become a beloved shopping destinatio­n for kids. Their motto, “Life is for fun,” perfectly encapsulat­es the spirit of celebratin­g World Children’s Day.

Abans also took a heartwarmi­ng initiative named the “Abans Unusum Hithawathk­am Project” as part of their World Children’s Day celebratio­n. This project, initiated at Moratuwa Special Education School & Home for Girls, Wijewardha­na Balika Child Developmen­t Center, Sarvodaya Suwasetha Nutrition Centre, and Madiwela Special Education School & Home for Boys, aims to bring warmth and comfort into the lives of children. As part of the inaugural phase, Abans donated water heaters to these children’s homes, ensuring that the children have access to essential amenities and comfort during various seasons and other essential items were also donated including fans.
