Dr Anne-Marie is a well-published and renowned researcher and teacher in Early Childhood Education. She is delighted to be in Sri Lanka to explain to prospective students the excellent career prospects for Early Childhood Teachers in developed countries with special emphasis on Australia and the high demand for EC teachers.

The pathway to UniSA Bachelor (Hons) degree is through a TVEC accredited Level 5 National Diploma in Early Childhood Development at PolyCampus, which is globally recognised. PolyCampus is fully accredited by TVEC to offer this programme. Students will save over Rs.8m in tuition fees by selecting to do the Diploma at PolyCampus, and therefore receiving a 1-year exemption from the full degree course in Australia.

At PolyCampus bridging modules are included to enrich the Diploma and meet the requirements of the University of South Australia (UniSA). The course includes training to sit IELTS and obtain the required English Proficiency level at no extra cost. This specifically designed course is for young school leaving girls who wish to enter into the profession of Early Childhood Educator as registered teachers in Australia. This will give them the ideal opportunity to live and work in Australia post studies if desired.

Prof Anne-Marie Morgan will also conduct one on one interviews with prospective students and parents on Tuesday, 7th November from 3pm to 6pm at PolyCampus. Students desirous of graduating from UniSA will be offered a free counselling session by Edlocate counsellors. During this session, students & parents will obtain all necessary details of the financial and other requirements that need to be met to study in Australia at UniSA by counsellors of Edlocate who will be in attendance.

Those enrolling in the diploma course for the January 2024 intake at PolyCampus will be able to enrol at UniSA in July 2025. Special procedures have been put in place by UniSA to ensure students to be able to continue seamlessly after completion of the diploma course by enrolling in the degree course with no gap in studies. We will handle the enrolment and visa applications to ensure a smooth transition with no professional fee charged.

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) from UniSA meets the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (the Board) requirements for the purpose of teacher registration in South Australia. It also meets the requirements of the national approach to the Accreditation of Initial Teacher Education Programmes in Australia. This programme has been approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) as an Early Childhood Teaching Qualification for the purposes of the Education and Care Services National Law.
