Online authentication of GCE O/L and A/L certificates

The Consular Affairs Division of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, with the Examinations Department, has launched an online service for the authentication of GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) and Advanced Level (A/L) examinations certificates issued by the Department.

The online authentication services are accessible for certificates issued from 2001.

Under the new system, individuals could apply for certificate authentication through the Consular Affairs Division’s online platform. Applicants are no longer required to visit the Consular Affairs Division in person to apply and collect the authenticated certificates.

Steps to be followed for the online authentication of GCE O/L and A/L certificates are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the Examinations Department official website and submit an online application for the certificates through the link: https://certificate. doenets.lk/certificate

Step 2: After the certificate is generated, applicants will receive a confirmation by SMS containing a unique reference number for each certificate along with the link

Step 3: Once the SMS confirmation is received, applicants can proceed to request the Consular Affairs Division for authentication of the document through the link: http://consular. mfa.gov.lk:90/

Fees associated with the certificate generation and authentication should be paid online to both the Examinations Department and the Consular Affairs Division individually through each link provided above.
