At Mount Lavinia Hotel, it’s not only about the delicious food, it’s also about the beautiful setting - Nestled on a pristine beachfront, the hotel offers a stunning backdrop for a family gathering.

As Anura Dewapura - Chief Operating Officer of MLH revealed about the upcoming events, “This is my favourite holiday when I was in US. Thanksgiving brings families together to sit down around a table to pray and give thanks. This tradition fascinated me to initiate the same culture in MLH by introducing The Thanksgiving Dinner back in 2009.

This year’s seasonal calendar of MLH is all about crafting a unique experience to our guests, where we will bring together different Christmas cuisines and traditions under the theme of ‘Christmas around the world’.

‘We will commence our festive celebrations with Thanksgiving Dinner continuing the MLH tradition from the era of 2009 to 2012, where the Tree lighting stands next in the seasonal agenda on the 26th of November. Country themed Christmas Lunches are lined up symbolising this year’s festive theme which will allow the hotel to value their traditions and cultures to celebrate the joy in the month of December. Yearend 31st Night is bundled up with all goodness and surprises for a glamorous welcoming of year 2024’ he explained the meaning behind the seasonal events.
