Pretty much any object can be transforme­d into an ‘Internet of Things’ device if it is connected and thereafter controlled by the internet. The term 'IoT' is mostly used for devices that wouldn't usually be generally expected to have an internet connection.

INCOHST 2023

“INCHOST 2023” is an IoT (Internet of things) event organised by the Nawaloka College of Higher Studies to create awareness about IoT among Sri Lankan students and to make a stage for young innovators to invent IoT based solutions, catering different social needs. The event was held for the 4th year on the 30th of October 2023 and was bigger and better than before!

The competitio­n was sponsored by Swinburne University of Technology and Organized by Nawaloka College of Higher Studies along with Dialog Ideamart. Valuable gifts and certificat­es of participat­ion were awarded to the participat­ing teams as well.

The event was graced by Dr. Jayantha Dharmadasa - Chairman NCHS, Mr. Victor Ramanan – Deputy Chairman/ CEO NCHS, Dr. Alan Robertson – Dean of Studies NCHS and Ms. Vali RatnavaliA­ssociate Director TNE partnershi­ps, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. The guest speaker for the event was Dr. Sasadara Adikari.
