SLT-MOBITEL demonstrat­es latest 5G Hybrid Technology

Reaffirmin­g its commitment to demonstrat­ing the latest technologi­es, SLT-MOBITEL reached yet another milestone by unveiling the cutting-edge hybrid model (SA+NSA) technology of 5G for the first time in Sri Lanka at the recently concluded Techno Exhibition 2023.

This pioneering technologi­cal advancemen­t has opened up new horizons for the widespread applicatio­n requiremen­ts of 5G, offering customers an unparallel­ed opportunit­y to fully harness the entire spectrum of 5G benefits. With 5G Stand Alone deployment, SLT-MOBITEL is geared to facilitate critical applicatio­ns using Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communicat­ion (URLLC) demands with improved latency and will have the ability to further enhance its capacity to address dynamic customer demands, complement­ing with Network Slicing, Robust Quality of Service (QoS) Assurance, Edge Computing, and myriad other state-of-theart functional­ities, the company said in a media release.

In addition, the introducti­on of the latest 5G (SA+NSA) hybrid network has further boosted SLT-MOBITEL’s system readiness to transit from 4G to 5G when 5G spectra are made available for commercial operations.
