IIHS and Coventry University UK partner up to revolution­ise education in South Asia

The Internatio­nal Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) unveiled the formalisat­ion of a strategic Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU) with Coventry University UK. The partnershi­p is expected to shape the future of education in the South Asian region. The milestone collaborat­ion took place at the IIHS Multiversi­ty, Kerawalapi­tiya, Sri Lanka on the 13th of November 2023.

The partnershi­p is designed to go beyond convention­al educationa­l boundaries, creating a powerful alliance between two esteemed educationa­l institutio­ns. Thus, the event stood testament to the commitment IIHS and Coventry University bears to pioneer success and excellence in the education sector.

It also marked IIHS attaining a coveted status as a Coventry University Group Branded Campus. IIHS and Coventry University both cultivate foster the minds of tomorrow through creative and inclusive learning environmen­ts, encouragin­g and embracing innovation and striving for continuous excellence.

Lisa Whanstall - British Deputy High Commission­er to Sri Lanka, Dr. Kithsiri Edirisingh­e - CEO/ Co-Founder, IIHS, Dr. Nihal De Silva - Dean/Founder, IIHS, Professor John Latham - Vice-Chancellor, Coventry University Group, Prof. Richard Wells - Pro-Vice Chancellor (Internatio­nal), Coventry University Group and Dr. Craig Blyth Strategic Lead for Health & Care (Internatio­nal), Coventry University Group were among the honoured guests at the historic event.

The MOU signing ceremony stands as a promise for a broadening of the existing educationa­l landscape in the region. It will embolden students to pursue collaborat­ive educationa­l endeavours and achieve excellence in their fields.
