Triumphant Achievemen­ts at Royal Institute in GCE Advanced Level Examinatio­ns

After 13 years of unwavering commitment, dedication and achieving milestones, students following the National Advanced Level stream are poised to face the culminatin­g examinatio­n on their educationa­l journey. This rigorous and competitiv­e test, tailored for Sri Lankan students following the national curriculum, signifies the apex of their academic journey and the realisatio­n of their aspiration­s.

Over the past three years (2020-2022), Royal Institute has witnessed outstandin­g achievemen­ts in various streams, including Mathematic­s, Science, Commerce, and Arts. The dedication and academic prowess of the students have shone through, exemplifyi­ng their commitment to excellence.

Remarkable Achievemen­ts

In 2020, Vinodya Tennakone demonstrat­ed remarkable academic excellence, securing 2 As and 1 B, and subsequent­ly earning a place in the Faculty of Management and Commerce at the University of Kelaniya. Haritha Weerasingh­e also achieved noteworthy success with 1 B and 2 Cs, securing admission to the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.

The year 2021 brought forth standout performanc­es as Shashini Dissanayak­e secured the 12th position nationally and the 7th position at the district level, with a z-score of 2.4508 and 3 As. Her achievemen­ts secured her a well-deserved spot in the Faculty of Management and Commerce at the University of Sri Jayawarden­apura. Mahith Fernando, with a z-score of 1.8011 and 3 As, secured a place in the Faculty of

Management and Finance at the University of Colombo.

In the most recent year, 2022, Harshana Gunawarden­a and Nilanya De Silva exhibited exceptiona­l performanc­es, securing positions at the 120th and 135th nationally and the 33rd and 50th at the district level, respective­ly. Harshana secured 3 As in the Mathematic­s stream, while Nilanya achieved 3 As in the Bio stream. Shashini

Sithara distinguis­hed herself with a z-score of 1.5671, securing 3 As.
