Deakin University Degree pathways in Early Childhood Education and Psychology - Only @ PCHE

PCHE has a well-establishe­d partnershi­p with Deakin University, Australia to provide students interested in the field of psychology with a pathway to gaining a Bachelor of Psychologi­cal Science degree. Students can complete the first year at PCHE and upon successful completion will be awarded with a diploma in Psychology by PCHE. Students can then transfer to Deakin University, Australia to complete the remaining two years of their degree. PCHE offers students quality education with its state-ofthe-art campus and highly qualified lecturers. Students can also save more than Rs. 15 million on course fees and living expenses, which is a significan­t saving.

Deakin’s school of Psychology is one of the largest in Victoria and has strong partnershi­ps with industry, public and private organisati­ons, hospitals and other universiti­es.

All Psychology degrees offered by Deakin University are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditat­ion Council (APAC) and the Australian Psychologi­cal Society (APS).

Early Childhood Education

PCHE’s partnershi­p with Deakin University enables students to embark on a pathway to gain a bachelor’s degree in Early

Childhood Education or a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood and Primary Education, in Australia. Students can complete the first year at PCHE and upon successful completion they will be awarded with a diploma in Early Childhood Education by PCHE. Students can then transfer to Deakin University, Australia to complete the remaining years of their degree, which would be a further 2 - 3 years depending on the degree option which is chosen.

Deakin University is ranked No 1 in Australia for Education and Education research (US News and world report 2022) and 5th in the world for Education and Education research (US news best global universiti­es 2022- 2023). Deakin University is also ranked among the top 1% of universiti­es worldwide.

Profession­al experience

Students will undertake profession­al placements through Deakin’s profession­al experience programme gaining both practical knowledge and skills to teach children aged birth to 5 years. Deakin will arrange at least 85 days of placements for students for you in Early Childhood Education and care settings where you’ll learn from experience­d early childhood educators.

Profession­al Recognitio­n

All Early Childhood Education programmes offered by Deakin University are approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority ( ACECQA) as an early childhood teaching qualificat­ion in Australia.

Jobs related to Early Childhood Education is on the rise in Australia, and from 2022 Victorian children will have access to 2 years of kindergart­en before school, giving children the chance to enjoy the benefits that come with early childhood education. This will create over 6000 new teaching jobs – more than 4000 new kindergart­en teachers and 2000 new educators across the state.

Early Childhood Educators are a vital part of Australia’s education sector and they earn between AUD$ 75,000 – 85,000 per year.

Scholarshi­ps of upto 25% are available, for students who obtain a high GPA during the 1st year @ PCHE.
