UCL – UCLan Graduation Ceremony heralded as best partner event of the year by University of Central Lancashire

The 3rd Graduation Ceremony of the University of Central Lancashire was successful­ly held last week recognisin­g the excellent academic achievemen­ts of the graduates and the internatio­nal standards of academic delivery at UCL.

Universal College Lanka (UCL) was proud to host the Graduating Class of 2023 at a well-orchestrat­ed ceremony at the Waters Edge. Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) of the University of Central Lancashire, Professor StJohn Crean graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Mr. Gihan Silva, CEO stated, “This year’s graduation ceremony is particular­ly significan­t, as we witness a remarkable 50% rise in the number of graduates, demonstrat­ing the trust that you and your parents have placed in UCL. We are equally delighted to share that 70% of our graduates have achieved First Class Honours and

Upper 2nd Class Honours, exemplifyi­ng the calibre of talent and commitment within our student body, and the exceptiona­l quality of education provided by our esteemed faculty who have consistent­ly achieved excellent academic outcomes”.

Dr. Harsha Alles was proud to note, “At UCL, we foster the growth of visionary leaders and innovators, offering a holistic learning experience. Our UCLan graduates are equipped not only with globally recognised qualificat­ions but also with the essential skills, industry exposure, and a winning attitude necessary to make a meaningful impact”.

The graduands, parents, Directors, faculty, management, staff of UCL, along with the Ms. Sarah Priestley, Internatio­nal Partnershi­ps Project Management of the University of Central Lancashire, enjoyed the glittering ceremony and fellowship that followed. Allrounder Heshan Karunarath­ne was adjudged as the Valedictor­ian for his exceptiona­l academic achievemen­t.
