Originally launched in 2014 as Sun Aqua Pasikudah, the property underwent a rebranding in 2020, becoming part of the Sun Siyam Resorts collection and adopting the name Sun Siyam Pasikudah.

This reopening marks a new chapter in Sun Siyam Pasikudah’s dedication to offering unforgettable experiences rooted in the beauty of Sri Lanka. The fivestar boutique retreat is located on the unspoiled eastern coastline of Sri Lanka, approximately a six-hour scenic drive from Colombo’s Bandaranaike Airport. Boasting just 34 spacious and contemporary, one-to-two-bedroom, garden or beach pavilions, with or without pools, Sun Siyam Pasikudah ensures an exclusive coastal experience, whether travelling as a couple, a family, or a group of friends.

The resort provides distinctive culinary experiences that immerse guests in Sri Lanka’s vibrant flavours and elegant colonial traditions. Notable options include The Cellar, the largest wine cellar on Sri Lanka’s eastern coast, the Tea House, offering a huge tea collection and bringing together tea pioneers for a delightful tea-tasting journey, the Slice and Grill, a fast-casual poolside dining concept with an early seventies feel and design, offering pizza and grill favourites, or the Beach Shack, a tropical beverage beach paradise featuring Caribbean vibes.

At Sun Siyam Pasikudah, guests can uncover the unique wonders of Sri Lanka, dive into the sublime underwater world off the pristine Pasikudah coast, snorkel or embark on scuba diving adventures to explore vibrant coral reefs, or take part in more exhilarating options such as jet-skiing, kayaking, and tube rides across the bay.
