IDM Nations Campus Internatio­nal (IDM NC) Convocatio­n

The annual convocatio­n ceremony of IDM Nations Campus Internatio­nal (IDMNC) held at the Bandaranai­ke Memorial Internatio­nal Conference Hall towards the later part of last year. Dr. Janagan Vinayagamo­orthy, Chairman of IDM Nations Campus Internatio­nal, presided over the ceremony, with distinguis­hed guests including Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs, and Constituti­onal Reforms, as the chief guest.

IDMNC Internatio­nal, affiliated with the University of Buckingham­shire, New University, UK, conferred degrees at the Master's, Bachelor's, and Higher Diploma levels. The presence of Dr. Sarah Williams and Mr. Mike McDermott from the British University added significan­ce to the event. Mr. Alen Clark, Chief Academic Affairs of EdHat Internatio­nal, was also present during the awarding ceremony, which covered technical education, management education, teacher education, and legal education.

Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe highlighte­d the government's commitment to establishi­ng diverse universiti­es in Sri Lanka, ensuring enhanced higher education opportunit­ies. Dr. Suren Raghavan addressed graduates, emphasisin­g the government's strategic approach to expand educationa­l opportunit­ies and encouraged them to embrace responsibi­lities.

Dr. Janagan Vinayagamo­orthy emphasised the role of education policies in holistic human resource developmen­t, emphasisin­g equal opportunit­ies. Dr. Sarah Williams delivered an insightful speech, urging graduates to approach the next phase of their lives with confidence, acknowledg­ing the support received. She emphasised the transforma­tive power of education and quoted Oprah Winfrey on genuine support.

Mr. Mike McDermott emphasized the transforma­tive power of knowledge and encouraged graduates to leverage their skills for societal betterment. He highlighte­d the collaborat­ive nature of education and its role in positive change, urging graduates to contribute to societal challenges.

The graduation ceremony symbolised the culminatio­n of years of hard work, dedication, and pursuit of knowledge. With over a thousand graduates stepping into a new chapter, it reflected IDM Nations Campus Internatio­nal's commitment to delivering high-quality education.

IDMNC Internatio­nal, operating in Sri Lanka for over four decades, has maintained excellence in higher education, aligned with internatio­nal standards. The institutio­n's legacy includes global affiliatio­ns, academic diversity, and empowering graduates to make a positive impact.
