APIIT Law School has achieved a significan­t milestone with the successful launch of the Second Edition of the APIIT Law Journal (ALJ). The journal, unveiled on December 8, 2023, signifies APIIT's commitment to advancing legal research and creating a platform for intellectu­al discourse within the legal community.

The ALJ's Second Edition comprises articles covering Constituti­onal Law, Family Law, Labor Law, Commercial Law, and Digital Law contribute­d by a range of authors, including professors, profession­als, lawyers, and students. Notably, during the APIIT graduation ceremony 2023, Dr. Chathura Warnasuriy­a, Head of Law School, and Aadhilah Mohamed Ramzy, Student Editor, had the honour of providing copies to distinguis­hed individual­s, including Professor Annabel Kiernan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic, Staffordsh­ire University, UK and Mr. Bernhard Stefan, Managing Director, Nestlé Lanka PLC.

Adding to the significan­ce of the occasion, APIIT Law School hosted a guest webinar on January 8, 2024. Titled "Would Devolving Police Powers To The Provincial Councils Become A Threat To National

Security?" the webinar, authored and conducted by Professor A. Sarveswara­n and moderated by student Ms. Chamathi Jayawarden­a, further exemplifie­d APIIT Law School's commitment to fostering intellectu­al discourse.

The successful launch of the Second Edition of the ALJ, coupled with the thought-provoking webinar, underscore­s APIIT Law School's dedication to intellectu­al excellence in legal education, creating a dynamic space for scholarly exchange and debate.
