UCL has had the proud distinction of producing over 400 Monash Global Awards of Excellence recipients in the Monash Degree Pathway Programmes and average of over 80% of First Class and Second Class First Division Graduates in the University of Central Lancashire degree programmes delivered at UCL during its history of 8 years of excellence in quality higher education. The Pass Rates in 2023 have been exceptional and is symbolic of the superior quality of teaching and learning practiced at UCL. Significantly the competent academic team headed by Dr. Dhananjay Kulkarni has a well-qualified lecture panel, with 32% holding PhDs, having experience in international higher education and equipped to support the modern student.
It is a matter of pride that the hallmark Monash Degree Pathway Programmes at UCL has showcased 93% pass rate in the Monash University Foundation Year and Monash College Diploma/ Degree Pathway programme in Business, Engineering, IT and Science. Over 50% of Monash students achieved high-grade category during the review period. UCL Students who have progressed and recently graduated from Monash University were adjudged as Best Graduates in Business, Engineering and the IT faculty.
UCL achieved 99% pass rate for International Business and 93% for the Software Engineering degree programmes awarded by the University of Central Lancashire, UK. The Internship Programme is also thriving with their undergraduates being placed into top corporates in Sri Lanka, with a high percentage of graduates securing employment locally and overseas. The Valedictorian of the recent University of Central Lancashire Graduation Heshan Karunaratne had the distinction of being selected the “Best Intern” at 99x Technology which was a feather in his cap and vouched for the allround students produced at UCL.
Undergraduates of the only Canadian Degree in Sri Lanka offered by the prestigious U15 research intensive university in Canada, Dalhousie University achieved 95% pass rate with some receiving all A Grades during 2023. The undergraduates who successfully completed the first 2 years of their degree secured the International Pathway Merit Scholarship upon progressing to the parent campus in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to complete the final 2 years of their Bachelor of Computer Science degree.
The UCL International Foundation Year also known as the Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies awarded by NCC Education UK had the wonderful accolade of securing globally ranked position 01 and 02 in the world, indicating the high standard of students enlisted in the UCL International Foundation Year programme at UCL.
