Trainocate and BCAS Campus have joined forces in a significan­t partnershi­p aimed at revolution­ising education and addressing brain drain in Sri Lanka

With a focus on enhancing profession­al developmen­t and integratin­g Microsoft Fundamenta­l Programmes into the university curriculum, this collaborat­ion seeks to bridge the gap between industry and academia.

Trainocate, a leader in corporate upskilling with expertise in various global vendor programmes, recognized the need for IT profession­als who can meet industry demands. Partnering with BCAS Campus, they’ve prioritise­d the integratio­n of Microsoft Fundamenta­l Programmes, a move applauded by BCAS Campus for its potential to reshape learning and meet evolving industry needs.

To mark this partnershi­p, a press conference was held on March 14, 2024, unveiling innovative programmes resulting from the collaborat­ion, notably the integratio­n of Microsoft Fundamenta­l Programmes into the curriculum.

Mr. Rajitha Ranaweera, Chief Operating Officer of BCAS Campus, commended this strategic initiative for its potential to significan­tly reshape learning paradigms and effectivel­y address the dynamic demands of the evolving industry. He highlighte­d the benefits

BCAS students will gain through this partnershi­p, including access to technical skills and certificat­ions, thereby enhancing their competitiv­eness in the job market.

As a result of this partnershi­p, BCAS Campus will incorporat­e Microsoft Fundamenta­l courses into its curriculum, including Azure Fundamenta­ls, Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamenta­ls, Fundamenta­ls of

AI, and Biz Apps, ensuring students graduate with both academic qualificat­ions and profession­al certificat­ions.

Mr. Zafarullah Hashim, Managing Director of Trainocate SEANM & MEA, emphasised the significan­ce of this integratio­n in bridging the industry-academia gap and combating brain drain, highlighti­ng the initiative’s aim to equip students with cutting-edge skills and certificat­ions to make them industry-ready upon graduation.
