Bouterse promises bright sports within 1 year

-

President Desi Bouterse recently promised the people that they would see economic changes within the next year. The head of state made this promise during his annual speech in Parliament on Friday. The government has reportedly prepared 33 measures that are aimed at improving living and working in Suriname. The president spoke of bright sports. “The government assures the people that it will not disappoint them,” said the president during his speech that lasted for more than 2 hours. “We will not surrender this country. Together with you we will overcome the problems that are coming straight at us,” said the president who urged the nation to keep being patient so that the solutions could come soon. The president repeatedly urged the people to remain calm and to keep having faith in the government with regards to the economy issue. He mentioned several circumstances in the world where the things are far more worse than in Suriname. According to the head of state, Suriname has been spared war, violence, terror, angst, power and greed. “In this troubled world our country, Suriname, is a paradise of peace and a haven of tranquility where everybody would like to live. May I urge you, the people of Suriname, to cherish this peace with love and to never let it go. Peace and harmony transcend all our differences, our religious differences, our ethnic differences, our cultural differences and our linguistic differences.”
