Stolen goods found in yard

-

Police reports indicated that some of the goods that were stolen in the Wanica District on Friday have reportedly been found and confiscated. The stolen goods had reportedly been ‘dumped’ in the yard of an 82-year-old man. The goods such as construction material and other items had reportedly been stolen at the home of a policeman. Shortly after the police had been notified of the theft, they received information which indicated where the stolen goods were.

The police officers who went to the location to investigation came across the stolen goods. The senior citizen who lives at the address was then taken to the police station. He told the police that he had received the goods from another person but that he did not know that they were stolen. He claimed that it was never his intention to accept and keep stolen goods in his possession. The man was not taken into police custody after questioning. Several goods still have not been recovered.
