Firefighters find human remains

Firefighters on Saturday found human remains along the Meursweg. They immediately notified the police. A police unit arrived at the location shortly after having received the call. The Public Relations Office at the Police Force Suriname (KPS) told Times of Suriname that the fire department went to the location to put out a grass fire. Police officials could not indicate whether the remains belong to a man or a woman. Investigators from Forensics were called to the scene to conduct a technical investigation. The human remains were transported in a hearse.
